Shri V.V.S. SreenivasSr.Professor and Director(i/c), IRIDM has is an officer belonging to 1993 batch of Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME). In addition to varied experience in Railway sector, he had exposure to Ports Sector,Dredging and Steel Sectors and Project activities of Oil and Gas Sector by virtue of various deputation(s) completed successfully in the career spanning over three decades.
He is a Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the Regional Engineering College, Surat with Master’s Degree from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi. He attended technical trainings with in Germany,Switzerland and France in the earlier part of his career.
Management trainings with ISEAD, Singapore;ICLIF,Malaysia; and Vigilance related trainings with International Anti Corruption Agency (IACA),Vienna and Anti-Corruption Agencies of Germany,Georogia and Turkey.
In his personal capcity,he attended Course on Environmental Management at University of Bradford and University of Manchester on prestigious British Chevening Scholarship and Visted as USA as Good will ambassador under Rotary Exchange program.
In his current assignment for the past three years, he could mould IRIDM in to an eminent institution for Training/capacity Building in Disaster Management of Railway Sector. Capacity Building Initiatives under his leadership won plaudits from NDRF,NIDM and SDRFs in addition to participants from all corners of Indian Railways
